BRIND'AMOUR TRADED

The clubs all time leading scorer and current GHL player of the week, Rod Brind'amour is no longer a Nightmare.  After scoring 6 goals last week including 3 against Manchester, Brind'amour is now a member of the Storm.Brind'amour, close to tears, says he is sad to leave Newmarket but knows he can do the job with the defending champions and is looking forward to joining his old friend Eric Lindros. Joining Brind'amour (who was 7 G and 9 A this season) heading to Manchester is Boyd Devereaux (0 G, 1A in 3 games).In return the Nightmare get blossoming superstar Mike Peca (6 G 8A) and minor league power forward Rene Corbet .

BRIND'AMOUR PLAYER OF THE WEEK

The Game On Hockey League player of the week for week 7 is Rod Brind 'Amour
of the Newmarket Nightmare. Hot Rod tallied 6 goals and one assist for the
week.

Honorable mention goes to Pavel Bure of Valleyfield who came up just short of
Rod with 5 goals and an assist, and Brian Leetch of Bay Ridge who totaled 6
assits.

ROUSSEL PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Congratulations to Dominic Roussel of the Newmarket Nightmare as he was named
GOHL player of the week for week 3. Roussel went 2-0 in his first two starts
of the year with a goals against of 1.00, and a save percentage of .968.

Honorable mention went to Mike Richter of Brooklyn and Jason Arnott of
Granite State.


NIGHTMARE HIRE COACH

The Newmarket Nightmare shocked everybody today by announcing Marty Dalman as the new head coach of the club."Marty offers us everything we want in a coach and more", said GM Ed Hebscher.  "Marty has played at virtually every level of pro hockey and has been successful everywhere, Marty speaks several languages, Marty has roots in Newmarket and Marty has great media connections in the area.  What more could you ask for?  Marty has played in the OHL, NCAA, AHL, ECHL, NHL and in Europe.  He simply loves the game"
